Unit 1: Wayang Kulit Purwa Gaya Yogyakarta

In this unit, visitors will see examples of wayang kulit performances complete with pakeliran (white screen), blencong (lights), puppet characters and the puppeteer. Puppets that are not or have not been used by the puppeteer usually face outward. The puppet to the right of the puppeteer has a good attitude and a knight. While the left mastermind has a bad attitude and evil. There is also a replica of Wong Gatotkaca puppet.
