Arjuna
Arjuna is the son of Prabu Pandu Dewanata, the king of Astinapura country with Dewi Kunti / Dewi Prita --- daughter of Prabu Basukunti, king of Mandura country.
Arjuna is the third child of five brothers and one father, known as the Pandavas. Two sisters and one mother are Puntadewa and Bima / Werkudara. Whereas the other two mothers, Pandu's son and Dewi Madrim, were Nakula and Sadewa. He is also one of the Mahabarata. Famous for his weapon, the Pasopati Arrow.
Arjuna is a warrior who likes to wander, meditate and study. In addition to being a student of Drona Receipt in Padepokan Sukalima, he also became a student of Padmanaba Receipt from Untarayana Retreat. Arjuna was once a Pandita in Goa Mintaraga, titled Bagawan Ciptaning. He was made the master of the destruction of Prabu Niwatakawaca, the giant king of the country of Manimantaka.
For his services, Arjuna was crowned king in the Kainyran Kahyangan with the title Prabu Karitin. and received the gift of sacred heirlooms from the gods, among others; Gendewa (from Bathara Indra), Panah Ardadadali (from Bathara Kuwera), Panah Cundamanik (from Bathara Narada). Arjuna also has other sacred heirlooms, among others; Keris Kyai Kalanadah, Arrow Sangkali (from Resi Durna), Arrow Candranila, Arrow Sirsha, Keris Kyai Sarotama, Keris Kyai Baruna, Keris Pulanggeni (given to Abhimanyu), Trumpet Council, Cupu containing Jayengkaton oil (gift of Bagawan Wilawuk from Pringcendani hermitage) Ciptawilaha horse with Whip Kyai Pamuk. While the drawings owned by Arjuna include; Panglimunan, Tunggengmaya, Sepiangin, Mayabumi, Compassion and Asmaragama
Arjuna has 15 wives and 14 children. The wife and children are:
1. Dewi Sumbadra, son of Raden Abhimanyu.
2. Dewi Larasati, son of Raden Sumitra and Bratalaras.
3. Dewi Srikandi
4. Dewi Ulupi / Palupi, Bambang Bambang Irawan
5. Dewi Jimambang, son of Kumaladewa and Kumalasakti
6. Dewi Ratri, son of Bambang Wijanarka
7. Dewi Dresanala, son of Raden Wisanggeni
8. Dewi Wilutama, son of Bambang Wilugangga
9. Dewi Manuhara, son of Endang Pregiwa and Endang Pregiwati
10. Dewi Supraba, son of Raden Prabakusuma
11. Dewi Antakawulan, son of Bambang Antakadewa
12. Maeswara Goddess
13. Dewi Retno Kasimpar
14. Dewi Juwitaningrat, with a son, Bambang Sumbada
15. Dewi Dyah Sarimaya.
Arjuna also has clothes that symbolize greatness, namely; Kampung / Limarsawo Fabric, Limarkatanggi Belt, Minangkara Coil, Candrakanta Necklace and Ampal Mustika Ring (formerly owned by Prabu Ekalaya, king of the Paranggelung nation). He also has many names and nicknames, among others; Parta (war hero), Janaka (has many wives), Pemadi (handsome), Dananjaya, Kumbang ali-ali, Ciptaning Mintaraga (holy priest), Pandusiwi, Indratanaya (son of Bathara Indra), Jahnawi (nimble trengginas), Palguna, Danasmara (excellent persuader) and Margana (helpful).
Arjuna has a disposition character; Clever, calm, thorough, polite, brave and like to protect the weak. He heads the Madukara Duchy, within the territory of the Amarta state. After the Bharatayuda war, Arjuna became king in Banakeling State, the former kingdom of Jayadrata. At the end of Arjuna's story, he is muksa (perfectly dead) with his four other siblings.
