Prabu Ramawijaya

RAMAWIJAYA is also known as Ramayana, Ramaragawa, Ramacandra, Ramabadra, Rawadewa and Raguputra. He was the only son of King Dasarata, the king of Ayodya country with the empress Dewi Kusalya. Ramawijaya has four siblings, each with a mother named; Leksmana / Leksmanawidagda from empress Dewi Sumitra, Barata, Satrugna and Dewi Kawakwa from empress Dewi Kekayi.

Rama is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in charge of creating world welfare. He fought with his younger brother, Leksmana. Rama is married to Dewi Sinta, incarnated Bathari Sri Widowati. the daughter of Prabu Janaka, the king of the state of Mantili. From this marriage he got two sons each named; Lawa and Kusya.

Rama is the crown prince of Ayodya. But he failed to ascend the throne because King Dasarata was forced to fulfill the demands of the Goddess Kekayi who wanted Barata as king of Ayodya. Rama even had to leave Ayodya, exiled for 13 years. Various dharma satria have been carried out by Ramawijaya. He had defeated and made Ramaparasu aware of the wrong dharmas. Rama also killed Resi Subali, son of Resi Gotamadari from the Grastina / Daksinapata hermitage for being angry. Finally, Rama succeeded in killing King Dasamuka, king of the Alengka state, who not only kidnapped Dewi Sprott, but also acted outrageously and caused various miseries of the Ancapada people.

After the end of the Alengka war and 13 years of exile, Rama returned to the country of Ayodya. He ascended the throne of Ayodya state, replacing Prabu Barata who resigned. Ramawijaya died in old age and his body was buried in Mount Kutarunggu.
