Nakula

NAKULA which in Javanese puppetry is also called Pinten (the name of plants whose leaves can be used as medicine) is the fourth son of King Pandu Dewanata, the king of Astina country with empress Dewi Madrim, daughter of King Mandrapati with Dewi Tejawati, from Mandaraka country. He was born twin with his sister, Sahadewa or Sadewa (Javanese puppetry), Nakul also has three brothers and one father, the son of Prabu Pandu and Dewi Kunti, from the Mandura country named; Puntadewa, Bima / Werkundara and Arjuna. He is also one of the main characters of the Mahabarata.

Nakula is the incarnation of Bathara Aswi, the Physician. He is good at riding horses and is good at using arrows and javelins. Nakul will not be able to forget about everything he knows because he has Aji Pranawajati given by Ditya Sapujagad, Senapati Mretani country. He also has a cupu containing, Banyu Panguripan / Water of life ? given by Bhatara Indra.

Nakul has an honest, loyal, obedient, compassionate character, knows how to use and can keep a secret. He lives in the Sawojajar Army, the territory of the Amarta state. Nakul has two wives namely;
1. Dewi Sayati, daughter of Prabu Kridakirata, the king of Awuawulangit, and had two sons each named; Bambang Pramusinta and Dewi Pramuwati.
2. Dewi Srengganawati, daughter of Resada Badawanganala, a giant turtle living in the river / narmada Wailu (according to Purwacarita, Badawanangala is known as the king of the Gisiksamodra / Ekapratala country) and has a daughter named Dewi Sritanjung. From the marriage Nakul got a cupu treasure inheritance filled with living water named Tirtamanik.

After finishing the Bharatyuda war, Nakula was appointed king of the Mandaraka state according to the mandate of King Salya, his mother's sister, Dewi Madrim. The end of the story is told, Nakula died moksa with her four siblings.
