Puntadewa
PUNTADEWA was the eldest son of Prabu Pandudewanata, the king of Astina country with empress Dewi Kunti, daughter of Prabu Basukunti and Dewi Dayita from Mandura country. He has two younger siblings, each named; Bima / Werkudara and Arjuna, and two other twin mothers, named Nakula / Pinten and Sahadewa / Tansen, son of Prabu Pandu with Dewi Madrim, daughter of Prabu Mandrapati from Mandaraka country.
Puntadewa is the incarnation of Bathara Darma. He has character; Patient, sincere, believe in the power of God, diligent in his religion, know to reciprocate and always act just and honest. He is also famous for playing chess. After the Pandavas succeeded in establishing the Amarta state in the Mertani forest, Puntadewa was named the king of the Amarta state with the title Prabu Darmakusuma. He also holds the title Prabu Yudhistira because in his body merges the spirit of Prabu Yudhistira, the king of the Jinn of Mertani state.
Prabu Puntadewa married Dewi Drupadi, daughter of Prabu Drupada and Dewi Gandawati from the state of Pancala, and had a son named Pancawala. King Puntadewa has a royal heritage in the form of an umbrella named Kyai Tunggulnaga and a spear named Kyai Karawelang.
In the Bharatayuda war, Prabu Puntadewa appeared as a senapati of the Pandava war, and succeeded in killing Prabu Salya, the king of the Mandaraka state. After the end of the Bharatayuda war, Prabu Puntadewa became the king of Astina with the title Prabu Karimataya / Kalimataya. After crowning Parikesit, Abhimanyu's son with Dewi Utari as the king of Astina, Prabu Puntadewa led the march of the Pandavas followed by Dewi Drupadi.
